Video For 'Turn Up The Radio' Will Begin Shooting June

image
Are you ready for Madonna's summery perfection!?!

Because Turn Up the Radio is gonna be blastin through EVERYONE'S windows after the video gets out!!

So you better prepare those butts to groove soon, because we hear she's gonna start shooting the official music video
JUNE 10, 2012.

Speculated to be set in Instanbul, Turkey, and Rome, this is gonna be an exotic delight!!

In July 2011, Martin Solveig was invited to a writing session in London. Originally Madonna had only acquired Solveig for an idea of one song which eventually turned into three "Give Me All Your Luvin'", "I Don't Give A" and "Turn Up the Radio".
Solveig further commented:
"At first I thought we were going to work on one song; that was the original plan. Let's try to work on one song and take it from there -- not spend too much time thinking about the legend, and do something that just makes sense. [...] We did one song and another song, and we were having fun making music. And actually it was a very privileged time. She wasn't under any kind of pressure, she had time to spend on it; it was the only thing she had to work on."
On April 11, 2012, Guy Oseary, Madonna's manager, took the Twitter to respond a Madonna fan, which was asking the song as a single from MDNA. He replied saying the song "is feeling like the next single.

“Concert for Peace”

Music is so universal and If there’s any chance that through my performance I can bring further attention and enlightenment to honor the peace efforts in the Middle East and help people come together, it would be an honor for me. It is my way of thanking those who are making so much effort toward bringing peace to the Middle East.

Is ‘Born This Way/Express Yourself’ Mash Up Too Much?

As many a Madonna fan and Little Monster know, the Queen of Pop is set to use her ‘MDNA’ tour set to tribute pop diva Lady Gaga by performing a mashed-up version of the latter’s ‘Born This Way’ with her own ‘Express Yourself’.  Immediately coming under fire after its early 2011 release for sounding nearly identical to Madge’s 1989 hit, Gaga dismissed the claim of copying while her pop predecessor labeled it ‘reductive’.
Now, as audio has surfaced of Madonna’s intent to fuse the twin pop tunes on her latest live trek, we who thought the flame had cooled see it may be readying to reach higher heights.  Take a listen below and you tell us:

If this is intended to be a jab won’t really be known until the visual accompanies the audio.  However, knowing Madonna, the intent is questionable.  Gaga, who has been pretty silent regarding Madge’s comments, has remained so while the ‘Like a Prayer’ pop diva has continually pushed the issue.

Madonna (and fans) have substantial evidence of what could be considered “copying”.  But, like Madonna – the older, more established artist – has continuously been the most vocal about the issue.

From the sounds of it, I picture a cheerleader/marching band dance off between two teams, similar to the Super Bowl performance with Cee-Lo.  Let’s hope this is all in fun and that Madonna is not stooping the level of Gaga’s ‘Little Monsters’.

Meet Madonna's New Material Girl: Georgia May Jagger!!!

Madonna and Lola have some exciting news!
On Wednesday the fashion mother-daughter duo announced Georgia May Jagger will take over the reigns from Kelly Osbourne as the new global face Material Girl!
Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall's supermodel daughter said of her new gig:
"To be handpicked by Madonna and Lola as the new face of Material Girl is truly amazing. I’ve always admired Madonna’s style and I’m thrilled to be working with them."
We think Georgia's a FABULOUS choice! She already has an impressive modeling resume and is a perfect fit with the brand.
Congrats!

Chris Brown – Don’t Wake Me Up (William Orbit Remix)

Chris Brown William Orbit Don't Wake Me Up remix 2012 Fortune
We’re not going to mince words here:  William Orbit‘s remix of Chris Brown‘s new single “Don’t Wake Me Up”is an absolute firecracker. If only Madonna‘s recent chart-challenged album MDNA had this much radness — a sentiment apparently shared by Orbit himself.
“All I will say is that certain thoughts about it that I see expressed online by committed [Madonna] fans… were blindingly obvious to me from the very get go, well before the release,” the Grammy-winning producer lamented on Facebook recently. “But you won’t see me exactly jumping up and down with delight over the way that things have panned out…we were very pushed for time.”  Hear Orbit’s mix of Breezy’s new jam — and catch the rest of his MDNA rant — below.  Chris Brown — ”Don’t Wake Me Up (William Orbit Mix)”
William’s remix contains similar flashes of greatness we’ve heard before from him, in both his production for Madge (particularly her classic Ray Of Light LP) and his work with other artists, such as All Saints’ “Pure Shores”.  But word has it that Orbit has passed along leftovers that didn’t make the cut for MDNA to Brown for his upcoming album Fortune.
“[Madonna] was on form and better than ever with her singing and writing and musicality, and was having a great time,” the producer wrote on Facebook, according to The Huffington Post. “We had songs lined up that were breathtaking.”
Alas, the problems, he went on to explain, lay in Madonna’s packed schedule — particularly the “various pressing commitments that took up the artist’s limited time, such as perfume ranges and teen fashion contests and other such endeavors which are beyond my own limited understanding of pop star agendas.”
He added somewhat cryptically: “The thing about having little appetite for riches and fame, and no great tower of expectations, you haven’t got anything to be taken away. And having always been an outsider, outside in the cold, It’s always clear which way the wind is blowing.”
Well, there you have it. So now he’s working with Breezy. And if this remix is any indication of the fruits of their collaborative labor, we say bring it on
I doubt this particular remix is what William was referring to when he said that his best work for Madonna’s MDNA was scrapped by Madge but picked up for Brown’s album… But if this beautiful remix is any indicator of what we should expect from the forthcoming Brown/Orbit collaborations, then I am excited as ever to hear then MDNA leftovers!

Why Madonna Why??  This would have matched your voice so perfectly...  FIRE GUY!

D'Angelo Addresses Madonna Rumor

R&B King With Queen Of Pop?
D'Angelo has spoken out about the rumours claiming he and Madonna enjoyed a brief fling back in the 90s.  The R&B veteran, who is in the process of making a comeback after a ten-year absence, was rumoured to have had a smooch with Madonna at her 39th birthday party. However, D'Angelo actually remembers a very different encounter and there was very little loving going on.
"When Madonna turned 39, she asked him to sing “Happy Birthday” at her party. One press report had her sitting on his lap and French-kissing him," writes GQ in their interview with D'Angelo.
"In fact, two sources say that ultimately D rebuffed her advances at another gathering not long after. At that event, the sources say, Madonna walked over and told a woman sitting next to D, 'I think you’re in my seat.' The woman got up. Madonna sat down and told him, 'I’d like to know what you’re thinking.' To which D replied, 'I’m thinking you’re rude.'

Was D'Angelo silly to rebuff Madonna's advances?

Like a Interview...1996

Primetime Live Interview

The queens most honest interview ever.  This is the guy who gave her a hard time in the 1990 Nightline interview and she loves that kind of interviewer.  She shines under pressure and she doesn't give in. Madonna has always been so COHESIVE in all of her interviews, she might be fun, crazy and a full mouth in some interviews but she's always coherent, nothing too out of place.

I'll Remember...1994

I'd Rather Be Your Lover feat. 2Pac

"We were watching a talk show, and it was during Madonna’s pregnancy, and they flashed a picture of Carlos Leon and Madonna walking into a New York building on the screen. Leon is the father of Madonna’s baby girl Lourdes. Pac had just rolled a blunt and after he finished inhaling a big toke, he said, “You know, that used to be me.”
I said, “Yeah, right, get the f-ck outta here,” thinking he was just f-ckin’ with me. “Nigga, I’m serious, that was me,” he said, and I could tell he was. “Lemme tell you something, anytime I tell you something about a bitch, it’s for real.”  I said, “A’ight. So what’s up between you and ol’ girl?” He said, “Nothing.”  I said, “Did you know her, then?” “Dude,” he said, “I used to spend time with Madonna in New York.” I said, “You did?” Damn, I’m thinking, this brotha does get around. That was the end of the conversation. He never mentioned her again, and I have no reason to believe he was lying."

Donna Summer dead at 63

Queen of Disco Donna Summer has died at the age of 63.

The 'She Works Hard for the Money' hitmaker had reportedly been suffering from cancer and passed away in Florida, according to TMZ.com.
She shot to fame in the 1970s singing a string of classic disco hits, including Love to Love You Baby, Bad Girls, and Hot Stuff.

During her 40-year career, she scooped five Grammy Awards, and her last single, To Paris with Love, topped the U.S. dance chart in 2010.

'Hot Stuff' is one of my favorite jams to this day.
