And then there was his infectious appreciation for the subtle beauty of every gradation of blue. When I think of David, I think of blue. Then again, when I think of David, I feel blue – because I miss him! I'm always in desperate need of his advice, input and direction.

THE TRIBUTE: MADONNA ON MR DAVID COLLINS
Yes, David helped me decorate my homes in New York and London. Yes, he built beautiful handcrafted furniture for me. Yes, he found gorgeous linens and silks in Greece, Italy and Thailand and brought them back to transform into curtains or reupholster an odd set of chairs. Yes, he took me to antique shops in Paris and turned me on to the most exquisite Fornasetti lamps.

V Magazine Cover
After a long and arduous winter, it’s time to bask in the sunshine. V want you to have a fulfilling summer season, and for that reason we’ve packed this issue with the best of what’s to come: faraway festivals (for the avid music fan) and the most enticing reads, exhibitions, movies, and so forth. Of course, who better to cap off this season of everlasting glow than the eternally youthful Material Girl, accompanied by pop’s reigning princess of the charts? In a worldwide exclusive, V Magazine and Steven Klein come together again to capture Madonna and Katy Perry in their element, under the sartorial eye of Arianne Phillips. Here, they delve into the importance of being creatively liberated, in a celebration of music, fashion, and artistic freedom. After all, isn’t that what summer is all about?

Daniel Kruglikov, Madonna and Pierre Dolmans at the MoMA
Last night MoMA held their annual 'Party In the Garden,' one of the NYC art world's swankiest affairs. This year's bash honored Daniel Craig, Steve McQueen and MoMA trustee and art world patron Maja Oeri and featured a performance by Lykke Li. We spotted a few familiar faces enjoying the spring weather and checking out a very hypnotic Dis Magazine-esque MoMA logo rotating on a screen above the garden: Madonna, Chloe Sevigny, Questlove, Cindy Sherman, Andy Cohen, Michael K. Williams, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Vera Wang, and Mickalene Thomas were all in attendance. Lykke Li gave a great show (although one young Wall Street type must not have appreciated her on-trend "wet hair" look -- he kept drunkenly shouting "dry shampoo!" during the first song) and before the party wound down, Questlove even took to the decks to play a mix of Bell Biv Devoe, Michael Jackson and Jay Z.

The "Glee" star talks about writing his first episode of the series and its array of 80's music
The music for Chris Colfer's upcoming episode of "Glee" is decidedly 80s in nature, although he swears that wasn't a conscious choice. The 23-year-old Colfer wasn't even born until 1990, which makes his penchant for acts like Eddie Money a surprise -- but not a surprise for "Glee," which often dives back into the 1980's to complement their more recent pop covers.
Listen to the cover of Madonna's "Lucky Star" before its appearance on Tuesday's episode, exclusively fromBillboard.com.
Anna Wintour didn't Reject Madonna. She was joking.
Madonna's not ACTUALLY a slutty attention whore who planned to expose her nipples at the fanciest event in the world -- literally dressed like Leeloo from "The Fifth Element" -- at least that's what she's saying now ... claiming the photo she posted online Monday was a joke.
Sources close to the singer tell TMZ, she was just kidding when she posted the photo with the caption, "What i wanted to wear to Met Ball but Anna [Wintour] said Not this year! So I'm gonna work on music instead?"
Our sources say Madonna didn't even have plans to go to the Gala ... she was in the studio Monday night during the event and will stay there all week.
This just in: Madonna is 55 years old.
