Backlash as Cher tweets Madonna jibe
'WTF is MDNA?' trends worldwide on Twitter after Cher spills the beans on former nickname for the Material Girl. Cher wishes she could turn back time after Twitter followers turned on her for making a sly dig at Madonna.
'WTF is MDNA?', the 'Believe' singer tweeted before posting a sarcastic comment about the record's name once fans explained it was a play on words referring to the party drug MDMA, more commonly known as ecstacy.
'How tasteful!' Cher replied and then revealed her unflattering nickname for the Material Girl. 'I had nickname for her? Back in the day had to sorry Madge! It was uncouth', she said.
However, fans of the 'Girl Gone Wild' were less than happy and 'WTF is MDNA' quickly began trending worldwide. Madge supporter @DanndyGarbage tweeted: 'MDNA Tour grosses $50M from first 14 sold-out shows. WTF is MDNA? Something that @Cher can only dream of.' Cher was quick to make a dramatic climb down, saying 'Didn't mean throw shade on Madge! She's best at what she does!' 'Doesn't any fkng body cut slak 4 fkng mistakes! It not like I cut her heart out with a spoon! Madge & I are cool!' she added.
Madonna sued over 'Vogue'
Madonna is facing legal action after allegedly failing to pay to sample another song in her classic hit Vogue. Executives at record company VMG Salsoul have accused the Material Girl of using the horns and strings heard in Salsoul Orchestra's dance tune Chicago Bus Stop (Ooh, I Love It). In the lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles and obtained by TMZ.com, it is claimed Madonna has made huge profits off Vogue since its release in 1990. Music bosses only recently discovered the apparent sample in Madonna's song thanks to new technology designed to identify specific sounds. VMG Salsoul chiefs are now suing for copyright infringement and demanding unspecified damages.
Listen at around 4:35 mins. I wonder if they are also going to sue 50 Cent for 'Candy Shop'. The intro to his songs also sample this piece. Listen at around 5:40 mins and then take a listen to the 'Candy Shop' intro.
Paparazzi...1992
Anyone know where this was taken? I think it was in France and she was on some show where they had a lady who had plastic surgery and they had some of her fat taken out and it was preserved in some kind of glass thing. Madonna was holding it and asked, "So this is part of your nose"?

Madonna/M.I.A. 'Baby' Demo
Chris Brown‘s “Don’t Wake Me Up” isn’t the only William Orbit-produced track that didn’t make the cut for Madonna‘s MDNA. A previously-unheard demo song recorded by rapper/singer M.I.A. for Madonna has been leaked online without the British star's knowledge.
The Paper Planes hitmaker, real name Mathangi Arulpragasam, previously hit the studio with dance producer and Madonna collaborator William Orbit to record a rough version of Baby, but the track never made the cut for the Material Girl's new album MDNA.
Audio of the incomplete tune emerged on the Internet this week (09Jul12) to M.I.A.'s surprise, but she insists she's not angry about the unauthorised leak - and the star is even considering sharing another take on the record with fans.
In a post on her Twitter.com page, she writes, "who ever Leaked That Baby song should know that ive (sic) never heard this version B4 (before) it sounds crazy different 2 wht i worte (to what I wrote) for madonna.
"im (sic) not mad about it but this just make (sic) me want to upload my version of it... this song wasnt (sic) recorded for my LP... so its (sic) not complete..."
M.I.A. is currently working on her fourth album, Matangi, which is due for release later this year.
M.I.A. sings:
“Baby / it’s hard to find / a dude that can get the better out of me-e / and baby / I like your steez / I think you’ve got exactly what I need / Ooooh / can you make a woman out of me? / Ooooh / can you make a woman out of me? / I’m bad!
Madonna Helps Fan Propose, Gives Marital Advice
For many, proposing marriage is a terrifying task. But one lucky woman got help from Madonna before she popped the question to her boyfriend in front of several hundred thousand people.
Halfway through Madonna’s July 8 concert in Amsterdam, she announced that she heard a rumor that someone was going to propose that night. A woman in the front row raised her hand and the “Like a Virgin” singer handed her the microphone so the arena, and now the world thanks to YouTube, could hear it.
“Is that the man you love?” Madonna asked the woman.
“Do you love her? Huh? Very much?” the singer demanded of the guy.
Then Madonna, who has been married and divorced twice, walked the woman through the marriage proposal.
“Do it with feeling, from the heart, baby,” Madonna told the woman.
After the man said yes and the singer told them to “kiss with tongue,” she gave them more advice.
“Never go to bed angry, OK?” the singer said.
“Two pieces of advice. Sorry,” she added. “Learn to say the word, ‘I f**ked up.’”
As the crowd cheered, the singer corrected herself saying, “That’s more than one word.” She then topped off the proposal by dedicating a song to the happy couple.

Madonna Plans 'Turn Up the Radio' Single Release
We've been saying all along that the simple, propulsive dance-pop anthem is one of our favorite MDNA tracks and may have better served the record, which debuted strong with 359,000 units moved (before Justin Bieber's Believe unseated it, MDNA had the year's top debut) before freefalling down the chart, as its lead single. It has "summer jam" written all over it.
As we reported earlier, Madonna was spotted shooting the video for "Radio" in Rome last month while in the city on her "MDNA Tour." On the set, M and her dancers were seen partying down to the synth-driven tune in a convertible.
The song will drop officially just a few days before Madonna hits St. Petersburg for a sure-to-be controversial concert in the Russian city. Earlier this year, lawmakers in the city passed a resolution that forbids the "promotion of homosexuality" by making discussion of the topic illegal in almost all instances and regardless of the context. Many called on Madonna to cancel her August 9 concert there; instead, she promised to tackle the subject head-on.
"I will come to St. Petersburg to speak up for the gay community and to give strength and inspiration to anyone who is or feels oppressed," Madonna said in an email statement to Bloomberg. "I'm a freedom fighter. … I don’t run away from adversity. I will speak during my show about this ridiculous atrocity."
Madonna’s daughter Lourdes to debut on-screen
Recently Lourdes was chosen for a role in the film “W.E”, but was swiftly replaced for unknown reasons. Now, her biological father, Carlos Leon is to give his star daughter her first on-screen debut in his new comedy “Thinking with Richard”.
Dancer turned actor Carlos, hopes to secure his 15-year- old daughter in the new film, which is currently filming in New York.
According to sources close to the actress, “Lourdes loves acting and she can’t wait for her first role.”
The celebrity offspring is planning to spend more time with her father on his 46th birthday in the coming week, and looks to further discuss her role in the movie.

Madonna's Touring Truck Overturns In Sweden!
Talk about hitting a bump in the road!

Madonna's MDNA Tour took an unexpected detour Tuesday morning when a big-rig carrying her stage gear overturned on a highway outside of Stockholm.
Thankfully, no one was killed in the accident, though at least one person was injured and several cars were severely damaged!
No one knows exactly what caused the accident, but photographs taken after the fact seem to suggest that the wheelman just kept on driving her truck over he borderline!!
Madonna's next date with destiny and her thousands of screaming fans is Wednesday in Gothernberg, Sweden.
It's not immediately clear what impact, if any, this unexpected event will have on her tour schedule!
