Poor ticket sales in Latin Ameria Force Lady Gaga to use Madonna's Stage

It seems Lady Gaga is having so much trouble selling tickets to her ‘Born This Way Ball’ tour in Latin America that her concert promoter Live Nation has forced her to use Madonna’s MDNA stage in order to cut costs. Paws Down Little Monsters has pictures of Gaga’s stage in Mexico City and you can see that the structure of the stage looks virtually identical to the one built for Madonna.

This may be what Madonna was referring to when she said one day very soon they would share a stage. Ouch.
Paws Down says Live Nation found a clever way to cut costs of her underperforming show, “Instead of shipping the whole stage structure for Gaga (which is costly), [Live Nation] only transported the regular stage (the one that is small enough to be built in arenas, smaller than a basket ball court) and built it underneath the MDNA tour structure.”
Additionally, Lady Gaga’s tour promoter in Brazil, Riachuelo has confirmed they are offering a ‘Buy One Get One Free’ deal for her upcoming show in São Paulo. Anyone who purchases a ticket for the show will receive one free ticket. The show will be held at Morumbi Stadium on November 11th. This coincides with other deep discounts in the region, including Groupon deals allowing customers up to 96% off original retail prices.
The question remains to be seen whether or not Lady Gaga will use the MDNA stage for all of her Latin American shows.
This is still not being reported by the mainstream news. And why not?

Madonna Booed In New Orleans For Endorsing Obama

Madonna is making sure to leave each concert with a (not-so-great) memory.

After recently taking a spill while on stage in Dallas, the controversial singer drew some boos from the crowd in New Orleans last night after she began praising President Barack Obama.

"Who's registered to vote," she asked concertgoers, and then followed with, "I don't care who you vote for as long as you vote for Obama."

After the crowd took issue with her remarks—in the form of boos—the Material Girl went on to say, "Seriously, I don't care who you vote for. Do not take this privilege for granted. Go vote."

Last time Madonna mentioned Obama, and made headlines about it, was when she told a crowd in Washington D.C., "So, you all better vote for f--kin' Obama, OK? For better or for worse, all right, we have a black Muslim in the White House!"
She has such a way with words.

I'll Remember...2001

The Funny Song (Oh Dear Daddy)

Madonna performed a live version of this song as part of her 2001 Drowned World Tour set list, calling it her "brand new song". Madonna recorded a studio version in preparation for the tour, along with the rest of the set list. Whilst most of the other studio recorded set-list songs have been made available online, the studio version of this song remains unleaked. The track is also listed in the Warner/Chappell Music database with Madonna again credited as sole composer.

Madonna’s Daughter Takes A Summer Job…

Folding Underwear!
Think that all children of rich and famous individuals are spoiled brats? Then here's some news you're sure to find refreshing. Madonna's teenage daughter Lourdes spent her school vacation just like a lot of other high schoolers out there: She was busy toiling away at a summer job. Take that, Rich Kids of Instagram!

Sure, it was a gig working for her superstar mom. But aside from getting the job itself, no special treatment was involved. As she explained on her blog Wednesday, the 16-year-old found herself discovering "the joys of folding underwear" while working in the wardrobe department for Madonna's MDNA World Tour.

Lola--who decided to try her hand at a summer job for the age-old teenage reason "all my friends" were doing it--admitted that her work was "a little unconventional" but still a good experience and lots of fun.

As anyone who's seen a Madonna show can imagine, there's no time for goofing off when one is responsible for such a major production's costumes. "Being in the wardrobe department meant me and a few other girls dressed the dancers during the show when they had quick changes," Lola explained. "Thirty seconds to totally dress a sweaty dancer can be insane and provoke mucho anxiety. Doing this night after night was pretty cray, but I loved every minute of it!"
Lola also noted that she enjoyed creating relationships with other departments on the tour crew. "To be able to be a part of such an inspiring production was one of my best summers so far."
Like any other teenager, however, she ended her blog entry lamenting the start of the school year; adding a personalized playlist to help fellow "slothlike" teens out there get moving in the morning.

Madonna's girl isn't the first famous teen to wade into a low-man-on-the-totem-pole gig in the name of experience. Courtney Love's daughter by the late Kurt Cobain, Frances Bean Cobain, famously served as an intern for Rolling Stone in 2008--where she probably didn't fold underwear, but likely performed the usual duties such as lunch orders and coffee brewing.

Madonna Slammed For ‘Distasteful’ Malala Yousafazi Tribute

Malala Yousafazi was shot on the way home from school, as part of as assassination attempt by the Taliban-who targeted the 14 year old for speaking out group’s oppression of women in her homeland of Pakistan.  Shot in the head and then again in the neck, she currently remains unconscious and in present danger with the Taliban threatening to target her again for being a‘symbol of the infidels and obscenity‘.
So, in what marks a strange twist in this tragic story, ‘Ray Of Light‘ icon Madonna has ‘honored’ Malala with a strip tease carried out during Wednesday’s showing of her ‘MDNA Tour’ in LA.  An act, which has now been billed as distasteful.  In response to the strip tease, users of social networking site Twitter took to the medium to weigh in.

So what do you think?

In the clip, she actually spoke a pretty heart-felt speech about the girl and about how lucky we are to live in a country where we’re free to express ourselves. The very same reason she was shot! You guys can criticize her all you want but at least she’s taking a stand… And guess who else she’s pissing off more than any of you guys by making this bold statement in the way that she did… The very same people that shot this girl for speaking out in what she believes in… The Taliban!

Madonna Dedicates L.A. Performance to Child Activist Shot in Pakistan

Madonna brought her eye-popping MDNA Tour to L.A.'s Staples Center on Wednesday night, where she dedicated a song to Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani child activist shot in the head and neck on Tuesday by a masked member of the Taliban.

Dressed in a leather skirt and black beret, the music icon took a break from the evening's theatrics to tell the sold-out crowd of 18,000 that it was time "to have our serious chat."
"This made me cry," Madonna said. "The 14-year-old schoolgirl who wote a blog about going to school. The Taliban stopped her bus and shot her. Do you realize how sick that is?"
"Support education! Support women!" she shouted, to the crowd's cheers of approval.
Yousafzai, one of the most outspoken and influential advocates for girls' rights to education in the Middle East, remains unconscious in a hospital since the shooting. Pakistani Taliban spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan said of the assassination attempt, "Let this be a lesson," and pledged that the Taliban would try again to kill her should she survive her injuries.
Later in the show, Madonna performed a striptease, during which she turned her back to the audience to reveal the name "Malala" stenciled across it.
"This song is for you, Malala," she said, then launched into "Human Nature."

Like a Interview...2012

Madonna taped a full episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show yesterday!
It will air on October 29th.
