Mike Tyson Talks 'Intense, Crazy' Cameo on Madonna's 'Rebel Heart' LP
BY JASON NEWMAN | January 23, 2015

When Madonna released the finished track list for her upcoming album Rebel Heart earlier this week, the most conspicuous guest star wasn't Nicki Minaj, Nas or Chance the Rapper. That distinction fell to Mike Tyson, who appears with the singer and Chance the Rapper on new track "Iconic".  And while Tyson hasn't heard the finished track yet (a leaked demo of the song only featured Madonna), the former boxer-turned-actor tells Rolling Stone that his role was similar to his 1998 appearance as a hype man on battle rapper Canibus' "Second Round K.O."

Madonna's 12 Studio Albums Ranked

The superstar's 13th album comes out in March. How will it hold up next to Like a Prayer and Confessions on a Dancefloor?

BY

The Queen of Pop announcedthis week that her 13th studio album, Rebel Heart, drops March 10 and that she'll be performing at the Grammys February 8. Fans have already heard several tracks from Rebel Heart after they leaked online during the Christmas holiday — Madonna took the Beyoncé-esque step of releasing the hacked music seemingly out of the blue.
While publications like The New York Times applauded the new music, the songs didn't resonate with the public in the way "Vogue" or "Hung Up" did. We'll wait to cast judgment on Rebel Heartuntil the album is released in its entirety, but until then, we thought it the perfect time to kickoff the inevitable argument among gay men by ranking all of the singer's previous albums from worst to best.
Don't agree with our list? (Of course you don't.) Vote for Madonna's best album on the last page.

"I am profoundly grateful to the FBI, the Israeli Police investigators and anyone else who helped lead to the arrest of this hacker. I deeply appreciate my fans who have provided us with pertinent information and continue to do so regarding leaks of my music. Like any citizen, I have the right to privacy. This invasion into my life - creatively, professionally, and personally remains a deeply devastating and hurtful experience, as it must be for all artists who are victims of this type of crime." -Madonna

Tel Aviv Authorities Arrest Man Over Madonna Music Leak

A 40 year old man accused of leaking new Madonna music has been arrested in Tel Aviv this week, picked up by authorities who are working alongside the FBI to crack the case.
After a Madonna representative launched an investigation to discover who had leaked and sold new material form the singer’s new album, the FBI joined them in their hunt when reports emerged that the leak was part of a wider attack launched against several artists.
This morning, an unnamed 40 year old man was arrested in the Israeli city, accused of leaking songs from her new album ‘Rebel Heart’, forcing her to release six of its songs earlier than scheduled as a result.
A hearing to extend his arrest will take place later on today in Rishon Leziyon.

The Inside Story of How Madonna Turned Her 'Rebel Heart' Leak Into a Global Hit
On Dec. 16, Madonna was in her New York apartment when she received word that more than a dozen unfinished demos for her forthcoming album had leaked. Her manager, Guy Oseary, was just returning to his Beverly Hills estate when he got the news. The album, Rebel Heart, was set for a late-April release, and thanks to a meticulous marketing plan and an inspired group of collaborators (including DiploKanye West and Avicii), buzz was strong on the singer's 13th studio full-length.
But now, all bets were off. Madonna shot off a fiery post on her Instagram account lambasting the leak as "artistic rape," Oseary got on the phone, and both sprung into action. "I don't recall that phone coming off my ear from 6 a.m. to 6 a.m.," he says.

REBEL HEART OF DARKNESS DEPT.
Rebel Heart Image Even Too Dumb for Madonna
Madonna is being criticized for posting photos of famous “rebels” (Martin Luther King, Bob Marley, Jesus Christ) with the same “face cords” that she sports on the cover of her new album Rebel Heart. Sure, it’s a desperate, unimaginative, attention-grabbing stunt — which is why we want in!

MTV famously refused to air the song's racy video, but that didn't hurt its popularity. In fact, it fuelled its fire. On this date 24 years ago, "Justify My Love" became Madonna's ninth Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 (of 12 total).

NEW YORK—Madonna is defending herself against criticism after she posted Instagram photos of Martin Luther King Jr. and Nelson Mandela that were altered to look like her own image on her new album.
Madonna’s cover for the album Rebel Heart is a close-up of her face with black string on it. Her social media posts show the faces of King and Mandela doctored to make it appear as though they have similar string on their faces. Some consider the posts offensive.
In a statement released late Friday night, Madonna said she was not comparing herself to them but acknowledging that they were rebels. She also said the images were fan-generated and defended herself against claims of racism, adding she also posted other famous faces who were not black.
