25 years ago Madonna shot one of her most iconic music videos - Vogue. And now someone seems to have discovered the lost outtakes from the video featuring backup vocalists Donna DeLory, Niki Haris, and a slightly different hairstyle than what ultimately was used in the stylish David Fincher directed video.

The Drowned World Tour was the fifth concert tour by American recording artist Madonna in support of her seventh and eighth studio albums Ray of Light and Music. It was also her first tour in eight years, following The Girlie Show World Tour in 1993. The tour was supposed to start in 1999, but was delayed until 2001 as Madonna gave birth to her son, got married to Guy Ritchie, working on Music album and was busy filming. When the tour was decided, Madonna appointed Jamie King as choreographer and the tour was planned in a short time span of three months, including signing up the dancers, musicians and technicians. Designer Jean-Paul Gaultier was the costume designer who designed the costumes in such way that they indicated different phases of Madonna's career. The poster and logo for the tour included references to Kabbalah, which Madonna studied.

The show was divided into five segments, namely Neo-Punk, Geisha/Anime, Country/Western, Latin/Gypsy and Urban/Pimp. The setlist consisted mainly of songs from the last two studio albums released at that point, with two pre-90s song added. The first segment displayed high-energy performances with Madonna wearing a kilt and dominatrix style costumes. In the geisha segment performances Madonna wore a kimono and later performed airborne martial arts. Acoustic songs were performed in the country segment which featured Madonna in cowboy costumes. The Latin segment featured flamenco dancing and the last segment featured ghetto-themed performances. Drowned World Tour was critically appreciated from contemporary critics who complimented her ability to re-invent continuously.

The tour was a commercial success. It went on to become the highest-grossing concert tour of 2001 by a solo artist. She grossed more than US $75 million with summer sold-out shows and eventually played in front of 730,000 audience throughout the United States and Europe. It received Major Tour of the Year and Most Creative Stage Production awards nominations at the 2001 Pollstar awards, but lost them to U2. The concert was broadcasted live on HBO from The Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, Michigan on August 26, 2001. A DVD titled Drowned World Tour 2001 was released in November 2001.

Publicist Liz Rosenberg Announced Retirement

The music business veteran also represents Stevie Nicks, Cher and Michael Buble.

Liz Rosenberg, a music industry veteran who is best known to the masses as Madonna's publicist, has announced her retirement. Rosenberg has been Madonna's publicist since 1983.

“I think two centuries is long enough, don’t you? I’m going to consult, advise and protect my peeps from the likes of Page Six forever. I love them too much to do otherwise. On a serious note, these people are part of my family. I could never step away completely. I envision myself like Sue Mengers, doing my work from a round bed with a lot of lip-shaped pillows.”  Says Rosenberg.

"She's been -- and still is -- the head of publicity for my entire career," Madonna said to the audience. "Now, does anybody understand the insanity of being my publicist for the last 25 years? Well, I think Liz was smoking a joint when I first met her. I walked into her office, and she very politely stubbed it out in the ashtray. I don't think she thought I knew she was smoking a joint, but it was a little bit obvious. Anyway, we hit it off right away. She was my kinda girl -- tough, irreverent and funny. And we've had a long and amazing chunk of time together." - Madonna

Amy Schumer to open for Rebel Heart Tour NYC Shows

Madonna will be joined by comedian Amy Schumer at Madison Square Garden on Sept. 16 and 17, as well as at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Sept. 19.

Madonna's star-studded "Bitch I'm Madonna" video sure got the internet all internet-y when it dropped on Wednesday. You didn't think it was all over, did you? On Thursday (June 18), Diplo, the song's co-writer and co-producer (who also appeared in the shoot), took to Twitter with his own #hottake.

"I'm confused that Madonna not allowed to be sexy but Caitlyn Jenner is?" he wrote. Shortly after, he deleted the tweet. He's likely referring to the incessant ageism (and sexism) that follows the 56-year old singer, telling her she's not allowed to present herself in certain ways. Caitlyn Jenner, 65, is also part of the older crowd, but aside from that, why pull her into this?
