Hello Madonna fans,
I made this blog to discuss Madonna with all of her fans and I would love to read your thoughts and memories about the Queen of Pop!
I'm thinking of closing down this blog if no one is really interested...as this does take a lot of time to keep up and as fun as it is putting this blog together, I don't want to be wasting time if no one is interested.
Let m know if you would like me to keep this blog running. As always if you have any suggestions, please do not hesitate to let me know.
xoxo
I love your blog! It takes some time to develop a following and to establish some regulars who comment on a consistent basis. The majority of your readers won't comment --- but it doesn't mean you're not reaching them. And if you look at Pud Whacker's blog, there's about 15 people or so who comment regularly.
ReplyDeleteHowever there's a subtle difference between your blog and Pud's, which may encourage comments. Your blog feels very much like an archive. It's informative and researchable. (Is that a word?)It's becoming a fantastic library!
While Pud posts articles and assorted memorbilia, he almost always posts his perspective on the event. When reading his posts, you're seeing the Madonna moment through his eyes. Because of his vocal point of view, it encourages readers to, well, express themselves.
Don't get frustrated and hang in there. You're doing a great job and all your hard work is both evident and appreciated.
please go on with your blog...;-) I check it out on a daily basis. I agree with JC even if people don't comment it doesn't mean that there not interested. keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THIS BLOG!! I see things here I've never seen before, and I've been a fan since 1984!!
ReplyDeletePlease don't be discourage. We do appreciate this blog. Some of us are too shy to voice that.
Please stick around.
Hugs.
Everyday i check your awesome blog, don't shut it down, please! I promise i will comment ;)
ReplyDeleteYour blog is one of my favourites! Greetings from Poland! :)
ReplyDeleteI`ve been following your blog for over 2 months, I guess. The comments above are all in parallel with my thoughts, and I truly know that one has to be appreciated for taking his time for creating such a marvellous blog. Appreciation sometimes and mostly comes from the heart; you can not imagine what it feels like to visit your blog everyday to see and learn something new.
ReplyDeleteI adore you. Thank you very much.
Love from Turkey
Awe you are all awesome! Thanks for the feedback. I am glad that you are enjoying the blog.
ReplyDeleteI am a big Madonna fan and I have so many memories of her growing up. I have followed her message of ‘freedom of expression’ throughout my life and that’s why I created this blog. I wanted to remind myself and you of the work that has inspired us all.
This is also kind of a way of reliving my childhood where I used make collages on my bedroom wall of Madonna. I remember putting pictures up and taking them down and changing them around and taking a step back to see what it looked like. I remember my mom getting annoyed with me and she would always say to me, “Madonna is making her money, what are you doing?” She was always worried that I would ruin the paint on the walls. I know deep inside she enjoyed my collages as much as I did, as she never really made me take them down. I guess this blog is like my bedroom wall. Only this way I don’t rip pain off.
I will definitely keep ‘The Madgesty Collection’ open for everyone to enjoy. No pressures for comments….lol but, please feel free to do so as I would love to get your opinions on some of Madonna’s releases. I like hearing fans memoires and their take of things with her career.
XOXO
Brandon
ps: Shout out to PUD from http://madonnascrapbook.blogspot.com/

ReplyDeleteDear Brandon,
ReplyDeletewhat a nice story!
I am a Madonna fan for more than 26 years now, I was a ten year old little boy dancing to her music in 1985. Madonna is like the landscape of my life. And by the way I used to make Madonna collages too (We all did, didn't we?? ;-)
Anyway your blog is a great trip down memory lane and a big compliment to the biggest and brightest star alive!
