Publicist Liz Rosenberg Announced Retirement
The music business veteran also represents Stevie Nicks, Cher and Michael Buble.
Liz Rosenberg, a music industry veteran who is best known to the masses as Madonna's publicist, has announced her retirement. Rosenberg has been Madonna's publicist since 1983.
"She's been -- and still is -- the head of publicity for my entire career," Madonna said to the audience. "Now, does anybody understand the insanity of being my publicist for the last 25 years? Well, I think Liz was smoking a joint when I first met her. I walked into her office, and she very politely stubbed it out in the ashtray. I don't think she thought I knew she was smoking a joint, but it was a little bit obvious. Anyway, we hit it off right away. She was my kinda girl -- tough, irreverent and funny. And we've had a long and amazing chunk of time together." - Madonna

Madonna Covered: Physical Attraction
“Physical Attraction” is a great song. A deep cut of Madonna’s self-titled debut album, it’s a modern classic that holds up brilliantly over 30 years on. Seattle’s Fly Moon Royalty and Taryn Dorsey have put their own unique spin on the track, amping up the electric flourishes and imbuing the number with some blues flair. The duo, made up of vocalist Adra Boo and DJ/Producer Action J, turn the pop track into a soulful, grind-worthy slow jam.
“Physical Attraction” is just one of the pair’s stellar covers. Boo and J have covered Sir Mix-A-Lot’s “Baby Got Back” and Duran Duran’s “Read My Lips.” The duo released their latest EP, Unfinished Business earlier this year. Check out the Madonna cover below:

Martin Burgoyne - Original Portfolio of Colored-Pencil Drawings.

A total of 12 original color-pencil and ink drawings by British-born artist Martin Burgoyne (1963-1986). The spiral-bound portfolio of original drawings contains original art work used on the cover, or as preparatory work, for the Madonna 1983 album “Burning Up”, designed by Martin Burgoyne. The first four pages have all 20 “photo-booth” vignette portraits of Madonna, the inspiration being a series of black and white photos from the Burgoyne collection. Three large color-pencil drawings of Madonna are included in the portfolio. One of which (a portrait of Madonna wearing a bowler hat), is almost identical to the portrait of Madonna on the back side of the album cover “Burning Up”. The portfolio also includes self portraits of Martin and portraits of John Benitez better known as “Jellybean” whom Martin designed album covers for as well. A copy of the 1983 “Burning Up” record album showing the 20 different faces of Madonna on the cover along with the portrait of Madonna on the back will be included. Each drawing sheet page measures 13” x 9 3/4”. The inside upper left cover of the portfolio is signed, “Martin Burgoyne” in his hand. In good condition. Estate of Martin Burgoyne.
