Madonna Notches 43rd No. 1 on Dance/Club Play Songs
Madonna earns her record-extending 43rd No. 1 on Billboard's Dance/Club Play Songs chart, as "Turn Up the Radio" lifts 2-1. (The ranking will refresh on Billboard.com Thursday, Aug. 30.) "Radio" is Madonna's third Dance/Club Play Songs No. 1 from "MDNA," which bowed atop the Billboard 200 the week of April 14. "Give Me All Your Luvin'," featuring Nicki Minaj and M.I.A., led the week of March 31, while "Girl Gone Wild" reached No. 1 just three weeks later.
"Radio" is headed for radio, too: Interscope Records begins seeking airplay for the song at mainstream top 40 stations on Sept. 25.
With her 43rd leading title on Dance/Club Play Songs, Madonna pulls further away from runner-up Janet Jackson, who has 19. Beyonce and Rihanna follow with 18 No. 1s each, trailed by Kristine W (16) and Mariah Carey (15).
Looking forward, with one more No. 1 on Dance/Club Play Songs, the Material Girl would claim even more historic honors.
Upon her latest coronation, Madonna is now one No. 1 away from tying George Strait's record for the most toppers on any single Billboard chart. The King of Country has sat at the Country Songs chart's throne with 44 titles between 1981 and 2009. With one more No. 1 on Dance/Club Play Songs, the Queen of Pop would tie Strait for unmatched Billboard chart royalty.

NEW SONG
MADONNA FEAT. FAR EAST MOVEMENT – TURN UP THE RADIO (REMIX)
Pop queen Madonna‘s ‘Turn Up the Radio’ may have not made many moves on charts since its debut in recent weeks, but the addition of group Far East Movement may change that. One of four remixes set to be available for download on August 5, this version of the track is making its rounds on the web days in advance.

TURN IT UP!!!
Her Madgesty's new song just hit Billboard's "Dance/Club" chart!
This isn't a huge deal for Madonna, considering this is the 60TH TIME she's made the list, but we're still proud!
Turn Up the Radio debuted on the ranking at #39 — but if the song makes it to #1, it will be gurlfriend's 43nd track to swing to the top spot. It may take a while for the queen to grab the tippy-top ranking. Right now, Katy Perry's Wide Awake has a strong well-devereved hold of #1, and J.Lo's Goin' In is making a steady climb up.
It's gonna be a battle of the divas!!

Madonna Plans 'Turn Up the Radio' Single Release
We've been saying all along that the simple, propulsive dance-pop anthem is one of our favorite MDNA tracks and may have better served the record, which debuted strong with 359,000 units moved (before Justin Bieber's Believe unseated it, MDNA had the year's top debut) before freefalling down the chart, as its lead single. It has "summer jam" written all over it.
As we reported earlier, Madonna was spotted shooting the video for "Radio" in Rome last month while in the city on her "MDNA Tour." On the set, M and her dancers were seen partying down to the synth-driven tune in a convertible.
The song will drop officially just a few days before Madonna hits St. Petersburg for a sure-to-be controversial concert in the Russian city. Earlier this year, lawmakers in the city passed a resolution that forbids the "promotion of homosexuality" by making discussion of the topic illegal in almost all instances and regardless of the context. Many called on Madonna to cancel her August 9 concert there; instead, she promised to tackle the subject head-on.
"I will come to St. Petersburg to speak up for the gay community and to give strength and inspiration to anyone who is or feels oppressed," Madonna said in an email statement to Bloomberg. "I'm a freedom fighter. … I don’t run away from adversity. I will speak during my show about this ridiculous atrocity."

In July 2011, Martin Solveig was invited to a writing session in London. Originally Madonna had only acquired Solveig for an idea of one song which eventually turned into three "Give Me All Your Luvin'", "I Don't Give A" and "Turn Up the Radio".
Solveig further commented:
"At first I thought we were going to work on one song; that was the original plan. Let's try to work on one song and take it from there -- not spend too much time thinking about the legend, and do something that just makes sense. [...] We did one song and another song, and we were having fun making music. And actually it was a very privileged time. She wasn't under any kind of pressure, she had time to spend on it; it was the only thing she had to work on."On April 11, 2012, Guy Oseary, Madonna's manager, took the Twitter to respond a Madonna fan, which was asking the song as a single from MDNA. He replied saying the song "is feeling like the next single.

“Turn Up The Radio” Demo
Martin Solveig and Sunday girl recorded a track titled “Turn Up The Radio” earlier this year. Solveig has been playing it during live sets but we have yet to receive a studio version of the track. It was also rumored to be included on Martin Solveig’s 2011 effort Smash but obviously never made the cut and now it comes with good reason.
Muumuse and Hard Candy Music are now reporting that the stellar dance track is set to make the cut for the new Madonan album and is already being considered for single treatment! Judging by the demo, it should definitely be a single! Beautiful sweeping synths take charge for “Turn Up The Radio”, I can totally hear Madonna on a record like this!
In other Madge briefings, Benny Benassi, William Orbit, and Stuart Price (my personal fave) are all said to be involved in official mixing for the new single “Gimme All Your Luvin”. Not surprising considering the Queen has worked with all 3 producers before on previous projects.
Listen to the live demo of “Turn Up The Radio” below, what do you think?
