Madonna's New Movie Project?

Hummmm.....
Madonna is to make her next film about tragic British monarch Richard III, her agent has revealed.
Her royal Madgeness will start filming of the biopic in July when she will fly over to the UK for a five month stint.
"I've seen the script and the film will be set in a Leicester council car park for some scenes, as well as a muddy field somewhere to depict the battle of Bosworth," Joel Montestromboli, Madonna's agent revealed.
Madonna is not known for her acting or directorial skills but she is very protective of her prowess in looking like she can do those two things.
"I go around with an eye piece and look at things from a different angle. It's going to be great to go back to England again, I really miss certain things like the constant rain, superbug infested hospitals and of course the 100% beef burgers," Madonna said from her New York apartment yesterday.
Historian Malcolm Jacobian, from Cambridge University, spoke of the news: "She certainly has the arms for the role. Richard III was said to have a withered arm as well as a curved spine. I looked at Madonna's arms, and was immediately struck at their magnificent grotesqueness."

Can the Concert Industry Survive After Mick Jagger and Madonna Retire?

Madonna Lighter Illustration - H 2013

More than half of 2012's top 10 highest-grossing acts qualified for AARP membership.

Pop quiz: What do The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac, the Eagles, Aerosmith and Metallica have in common? Each of them has been enshrined in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, each has announced or is expected to announce major tours for 2013 and each was among the 10 highest-grossing acts in the U.S. -- in 2003.
This critical mass of such "legacy acts" might push 2013's totals beyond 2012's record sales numbers, estimated at $4.7 billion. That figure was boosted by sold-out tours from very familiar faces, with the three top-grossing performers -- Madonna, Roger Waters and Springsteen -- all card-carrying members of the Rock Hall and long since qualified for AARP membership as well. In fact, six of the top 10 touring acts in 2012 were age 54 or older, and they took in 67 percent of the box office among the industry's leaders.
But here's the rub. While North American grosses hit an all-time high in 2012, fewer seats were filled. The total number of tickets purchased by concertgoers -- 36.7 million -- was down 9 percent from the industry's banner year of 2009. So what's at work here? You guessed it: Ticket prices are reaching new heights, thanks largely to legacy acts, whose average ticket cost more than $100 in 2012. Paul McCartney, Van Halen, Rod Stewart, Aerosmith, Waters and Madonna were in this company last year, headed by The Rolling Stones, whose stupefying average ticket price exceeded $500 (a back-of-the-house, obstructed-view seat at Brooklyn's Barclays Center fetched $176).

Rolling Stone: The Greatest Super Bowl Halftime Shows

madonna
1. Madonna
Madonna had a very ambitious tour plan for 2012, and the single best way to promote it was a Super Bowl halftime show. She went all out for the performance, bringing in Cee Lo Green, LMFAO, Nicki Minaj, M.I.A. and even acrobats. The set was wall-to-wall hits with her pretty flaccid new single “Give Me All Your Luvin’” in the middle. M.I.A. tried to perk up the song by sticking her middle finger up on camera, which didn’t exactly thrill Madonna or the NFL – though next to Nipplegate, it was a pretty tiny scandal. The next day, tickets went on sale for her world tour and sold out everywhere.

Madonna To Sell Beverly Hills Mansion For $1!!

madonna selling house beverly hills nyc mansion realty

Madonna wants to sell you her massive Beverly Hills mansion for only a $1!! Of course, this would include a hefty "Madonna Fee" for around $22.5 million. You understand.
LOLz!

It's true, Madonna just listed the house she's lived in for over a decade in the Hills for a hefty sum, but it's worth it once you see the nine plush bedrooms, two guesthouses, the indoor gym and the huge screening room. The French country-style house has over 17,000 square feet and also has an infinity pool and tennis court.
Too bad that $1 thing isn't real — we'd snatch it up!

What's weird about this is that she JUST listed her home in NYC for $23.5 million in November! Either she's just looking for something fresh, or she really is moving overseas!

You'd think she'd wanna keep something in the States justin in case though. Check out the pics from her posh NYC townhouse (below)!!

SPIN Magazine on MDNA

#13 MADONNA – MDNA (INTERSCOPE)
It’s not her breakup album (that was Hard Candy). It’s not her return to the club (that was Confessions on a Dance Floor). It’s not her midlife crisis (that was American Life). Madonna’s 12th studio album didn’t fit neatly into a box, so too many folks didn’t pause to figure it out. Their loss: MDNA is cheeky and glitchy and more fun than a flotilla of Nicki Minajs barking “I’m a business-woman!” If you can’t hear Madge winking her way through EDM stunners “Girl Gone Wild” and “Some Girls,” or retro bouncers “Give Me All Your Luvin’” and “I’m a Sinner,” you’re letting your assumptions about the Queen’s reign speak louder than her still-solid studio work. Madonna strikes a pose on Swiss ski slope, flops like it’s her very first time

Madonna and Brahim Zaibat take her children on a ski and snowboarding trip in Gstaad, Switzerland on December 29, 2012. Mercy James gets a ski lesson while Lourdes Leon is spotted snowboarding on the ski resort.

Daring just the bunny slope, the material girl showed her truly virginal ski moves, flopping in the snow repeatedly as she spent New Year’s with boytoy Brahim Zaibat and kids Lourdes and Mercy in Gstaad, Switzerland.

It’s Les Misérables meets Evita as we enter 2013!

In what may be a bit of an odd couple, Anne Hathaway will be partying on New Year's Eve with Madonna.
Unfortunately, it isn’t exactly like Madonna called up Anne because she was such a fan of her in Les Misérables, but that's not the point.  The two will be celebrating in Gstaad, Switzerland, at the chalet of designerValentino and his partner, Giancarlo Giammetti.  Fans will be jealous to hear Anne and Madonna are rumored to be scheduled to sing throughout the night.  In fact, they might even duet at midnight!  We can only imagine what songs they'll choose!!

A Sick Madonna Shortens MDNA Set List

A combination of a suspect package, torrential rain and Madonna feeling unwell meant that the show in Santiago, Chile last night (Tuesday 19 December) did not start until 11:35pm and several songs were cut from the show - including the whole opening section. The show started instead from 'Express Yourself'.

...or perhaps she was so angry at the soundcheck crowd for smoking in her presence she decided to punish the lessers? Here is a video clip of Madonna in the rain during the soundcheck of 'Human Nature' telling off fans for smoking in the audience.

The set list included:

  1. "Express Yourself"
  2. "Give Me All Your Luvin'" (Just Blaze Remix)
  3. "Turning Up the Hits" (Video Interlude)
  4. "Turn Up the Radio"
  5. "Open Your Heart"
  6. "Holiday"
  7. "Spanish Lesson"

Madonna Rules Billboard.com's Readers Poll 2012

Once Billboard.com readers weighed in on their favorite artists, songs and albums of the year, Madonna emerged as the 2012 MVP and came out on top in four other categories.

One year after pop divas like Britney Spears, Adele and Lady Gaga ruled the 2011 Billboard.com Readers' Poll, Madonna dominated the competition in the 2012 edition of our year-end fan forum. Once Billboard.com readers weighed in on their favorite artists, songs and albums over the past 12 months, Madonna emerged as the 2012 MVP, and came out on top in four other categories.

Check out all of the results below, including the percentage of the votes that each candidate received in each category, and give us your feedback in the comments section.

2012 MVP
MADONNA
1. Madonna (26%)
FRANK OCEAN
2. Frank Ocean (12%)
ONE DIRECTION
3. One Direction (11%)

Madonna's achievements included earning the most votes for favorite Billboard 200 No. 1 album with her chart-topping "MDNA"; winning the Best Tour crown for her MDNA trek, which grossed more money than any other run this year, according to Billboard Boxscore; nabbing favorite TV performance for her Super Bowl halftime show extravaganza last February; and even winning most memorable feud for her war of words with Lady Gaga. For that incredible year, Madonna was handed the MVP crown from last year's winner, Britney Spears; in doing so, she topped Frank Ocean, Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj, who came in second, third and fourth in voting, respectively.
