1. She’s one of the coolest moms around
A mother of 4, Madonna is totally keeping up with her kids. Together with her daughter Lola she runs a clothing line for teen girls (aptly called “Material Girl”). Lola also worked in the wardrobe department on her latest tour. Her 13 year old son Rocco danced with Madonna on stage every night on her last tour and had his bar-mitzvah at a Brooklyn parkour/breakdancing studio where everyone, including Madonna, jumped around in foam pits. As for her younger kids, when Madonna is your mom, you get to go on field trips to different continents, not just the box factory the next town over.
2. She loves Instagram
Madonna joined Instagram late last year, and has treated us to an almost daily update. Her posts include weird bathroom selfies, pictures of her kids, memes, old pictures of herself, and inspirational quotes. She recently teamed up with the app STUDIO allowing users to download designs to put on top of their photos that include quotes, icons, and sayings she believes in.
3. Her birthday parties are way better than yours
While some of us gather our friends at a bar on the lower east side when our birthdays roll around, Madonna celebrated turning 55 in a fashion befitting the famously dramatic, often outlandish pop star. That is, with an over-the-top French Revolution-inspired costume bash. The guest of honor channeled, naturally, Marie Antoinette, the Gallic country’s last queen who memorably said “Let them eat cake!” before later meeting her demise at the guillotine. Fit and fabulous, Madonna wore a gold and diamond grill on her teeth, a heart-shaped eyepatch over one eye, an enormous teased blond wig, a purple, cleavage-baring corset leotard — and no pants!
4. She plays dress up whenever she can
When giving an award to Anderson Cooper earlier this year, Madonna decided to dress as a boy scout. Asked about her days as a girl scout, she explained “They kicked me out because my skirt was too short and I didn’t sell enough cookies. I ate all the cookies.”
5. She makes her latest project available as a free torrent
We all have at one point or another downloaded something for free off the internet. Madonna gets this! That’s why her latest film SecretProjectRevolution was offered for free, legally via BitTorrent. The film was the first in a series for her newly launched ArtForFreedom Platform.
6. She hangs out with other cool celebrities
At the 2013 Met Gala after party, Madonna was spotted with (and took selfies with) the likes of Beyonce, Kim and Kanye, Frank Ocean, Katy Perry, and Leonardo DiCaprio. Some of Madonna’s other celeb pals are Kelly Osbourne, Andy Cohen, Rosie O’Donnell, Debi Mazar, Anderson Cooper, Donatella Versace, and Ashton Kutcher.
7. She makes going to the gym feel like a party
In 2010 Madonna launched a line of gyms called Hard Candy Fitness. Attending the latest opening in Berlin she totally turned a group fitness class into a party!
8. She can easily find a date online
During a recent AMA on Reddit a fan asked what he would need to do to get her to go out with him. She replied, “Send photo”. Not giving up, the (assumed) gentleman insisted his beauty is on the inside. Her response? “I still need to see it”. No one is beneath the power of internet dating, even Madonna!
9. She has dirty dreams about Brad Pitt
Also revealed in that Reddit conversation is that she recently had a dream involving Brad Pitt.
“‘Brad Pitt and I were living together and there was a small blonde child in the bed, Sorry Angelina, it was only a dream.”
Wonder if he had his scraggly beard or was clean shaven? Either way that’s a sex tape we wouldn’t mind taking a peek at.
10. She hangs out with her exes
It wouldn’t be the first time in the 24 years they’ve been divorced that Madonna and Sean Penn hung out together. At a party Madonna threw in September, Sean was the first guest to arrive, and the former “Poison Penns” took the opportunity for a warm embrace and casual chit-chat.
11. She sticks up for people who are bored at the movies and feel like playing candy crush instead
Enslaver! This is what Madonna called the woman who asked her to stop texting during a movie premiere last month! As the tale is told by one fellow movie-goer, Madonna was on her phone texting, and people around her were not pleased. “Eventually, a woman next to me tapped her on the shoulder and told her to put her phone away, and the blonde hissed back, ‘It’s for business… ENSLAVER!’

Madonna’s Super Bowl Halftime show from 2012 is the most watched television event IN HISTORY! Even Queen Bey who performed the following year couldn’t top her Madgesty’s numbers!
13. She can still dance better than your faves
She’s 55, and lets face it, no one dances better than Madonna.
14. She looks better in a corset than ever
Madonna started the corset trend in the 1980s, wearing boustiers on her tours and in her music videos. But today Madonna’s body is better than ever, and she never looked so good wearing practically nothing!
